Lauren received her master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University. Lauren has a wide variety of experience working with acute mental illness in both the residential setting as well as inpatient psychiatric units.  Lauren works with adolescent and adult clients who present with, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, chronic/acute mental illness, post-traumatic stress, perpetrators/victims of violence or abuse, behavioral or emotional regulation and grief/loss counseling.  Lauren also specializes in LGBTQ+ affirming work and strives to ensure her office is a safe and inclusive space.

Lauren believes strongly in working from where a client is and developing each client’s individual strengths to come to solutions that will work in real life situations.  She likes to pull from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, solutions-based theories, and systems theories to create a unique approach to meet the needs of each client.

 Lauren sees clients in her office and also offers telehealth sessions.
