Lauren received her master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University. Lauren has a wide variety of experience working with acute mental illness in both the residential setting as well as inpatient psychiatric units. She is school certified and has worked with clients in both traditional and behavioral schools. Lauren works with children, adolescent and adult clients who present with (but are not limited to): anxiety, depression, chronic/acute mental illness, post-traumatic stress, perpetrators/victims of violence or abuse, behavioral or emotional regulation and grief/loss counseling.
Lauren believes strongly in working from where a client is and developing each client’s individual strengths to come to solutions that will work in real life situations. She likes to pull from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, solutions based theories and systems theories to create a unique approach to meet the needs of each client.
